Veterinarian
Walker Street Veterinary Clinic in Orland, CA, is seeking an energetic, compassionate associate veterinarian to join our small town clinic. We also work closely with local animal shelters and rescue organizations, including feral cat spay/neuter programs. As a Veterinary Professional you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of Veterinary medicine and surgery. Here are some of the key skills and abilities that we are seeking that are particularly relevant to this opportunity:
- Examine and triage pets to promptly diagnose their short and long term health issues and recommend best-practice emergency treatment
- Consult with direct clients and referring clinics regarding immediate, solutions-based care for their pets
- Soft tissue surgery at all levels – orthopedic surgical expertise will be highly valued
- The ability to prepare and deliver internal medical skills training to the entire team
Bilingual (Spanish) capability is a plus. Currently we use Idexx in-house lab equipment; we also have digital x-ray and a dental machine. Full-time is preferred but part-time considered. We are located in Northern California about 100 miles north of Sacramento and about 20 minutes west of Chico State University. Come enjoy the benefits and lower cost of rural Northern California. Veterinary Technician
Walker Street Veterinary Clinic in Orland, CA is seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant with a positive and upbeat attitude for our busy animal clinic.
Applicant must be compassionate and strive to honor the human-animal bond.
The Veterinary Technician/Assistant has a vital role treating both patients and clients with professionalism and compassionate care. Responsibilities include but not limited to animal handling, assisting veterinarians in exams, procedures, anesthesia and surgeries, thorough medical documentation, administration of vaccines, in-house lab procedures (Idexx), digital radiology, as well as hospital maintenance (i.e. laundry, kennel cleaning, animal waste removal, janitorial duties, etc.)
Knowledge of Animal Behavior, strong verbal communication skills, documentation skills, analyzing information, performing diagnostic procedures, flexibility, professional appearance, punctuality, confidence, ability to accept constructive criticism, multi-tasking and attention to detail are required of the employee. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Must have verifiable experience, as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant.
